Porcelain Dental Veneers are very thin laminates or coverings that are ‘cemented’ to the front surface of the tooth to improve its cosmetic appearance. Veneers can be constructed of porcelain, ceramic or composite bonding material.
Veneers are used for a variety of applications including covering stained teeth, damaged teeth, gapped teeth and slightly misaligned teeth. Procedures for Dental Veneers require a couple of visits in order that your tooth can be prepared to accommodate the Veneer. After an impression of your teeth is made it is then sent to a dental laboratory where they cast a model of the Veneer to be fitted over your tooth. On the return visit Dr. Rogers will fit the new Veneer to cover the affected tooth leaving a natural, beautiful-looking restoration.
Veneers are bonded to the outside area of the natural tooth to cover and protect stained, chipped, discoloured, misshaped or slightly misaligned teeth while also improving the aesthetic appearance. Veneers are thin and require minimal invasive dental treatment for tooth preparation.
Veneers will be matched to the colour of adjacent teeth adding a natural-looking protective covering that is also resistant to stains from coffee, wine, tea and tobacco. You’ll have a better smile in just two appointments with very little discomfort during the process for veneer fitting. Visit our dental clinic to find out if you’re a good candidate for dental veneers.
